Course coordinators” are full-time faculty members experienced with the course, who may or may not be offering the courses in a given semester. For FAE (“ENG” code) courses, course coordinator responsibilities are defined by Bilkent Quality Management in Education (QME) procedures as follows:

• write/revise the course syllabus before the semester begins
• write/revise the Learning Outcomes of the course
• define the assessment(s) to be used to measure each Learning Outcome
• determine the metrics to be used for QME measurements

For co-taught courses (GE and PHIL courses), FAE course coordinators are responsible for developing a common assessment plan and teaching approach as well as course documents for the FAE-taught part of the course.
