FAE Courses

ENG coded courses are courses offered by the FAE program. FAE program instructors also co-teach and support general education and departmental courses at Bilkent:

GE 100 Orientation

FAE instructors contribute to sessions to orient newly-arriving Bilkenters as part of the university-wide GE 100 program, that takes place in early September each year.

English & Composition I

ENG 101 is a compulsory English and essay composition course which Bilkent students in all departments take in their first semester.

English and Composition II

ENG 102 is a compulsory English, essay and research paper composition course which Bilkent students in all departments take on completion of ENG 101.

Advanced English Grammar I

ENG 117 is intended for students who have reached an advanced level of English but need to further develop and improve their language skills.

Advanced English Grammar II

This course is intended for students who have reached an advanced level of English but need to further develop and improve their language skills.

Business Communications

ENG 206 helps Business Administration majors to develop professional communication skills they need as they prepare to enter the business world.

Social & Political Philosophy I (English Part)

The English component of PHIL 243 emphasizes developing your ability to read challenging texts and your ability to express yourself verbally and in the written form.

Social & Political Philosophy II (English Part)

The English component of PHIL 244 emphasizes developing your ability to read challenging texts and your ability to express yourself verbally and in the written form.

Introduction to Creative Writing

ENG 312 is an optional course for second and third year students who wish to develop as writers of short fiction in English.

Technical Report Writing & Presentation

This course is designed for third and final year engineering students and aims to develop technical and professional communication skills.

Transdisciplinary Senior Project (English Part)

This is a one-semester interdisciplinary research project course offered to senior Economics, International Relations and Political Science and Public Administration students.
